“I like Mediterranean cooking, the mixture of the ingredients that you can find here in Majorca”, tells us Kevin Becker, Marc Fosh Catering manager, remembering how he got captured by the charms of cooking in Mediterranean lands.
Born in Wisconsin, US, Becker recalls his casual arrival in Majorca. He landed in the island looking for something good. He knew Spanish cooking had reputation around the world, and he found Marc Fosh’s mastery. He’s been working for10 years as Marc Fosh Catering manager and each of his creations has its particular personal touch, tough always in the style of his master, Marc Fosh.
If there’s something that defines his style in Marc Fosh’s cooking that’s his lightness, freshness and creativity. Such concepts are effectively recreated in his dishes thanks to “the ingredients, a simple cooking and a fine raw material”, points Becker. “A great deal of our work in catering is to find the raw material, how to cook it and present it”, he adds.
This work is not only about the quality of its ingredients, “the organization is fundamental“, says Becker. For that reason, Marc Fosh’s name is synonymous of quality, as much in the food as in the service.
Considering the question about the future of catering companies, Becker enhances the essence of the firm, “to think like a restaurant“.”We are a team and we set it all up immediately, something that is fundamental in order to keep the quality level”, explains Becker.
