The main part of any event we organize is the menu we serve. At Fosh Catering, we work with haute-cuisine techniques and we know the latest mainstreams. Today we will talk about luxurious confectionery presenting a trendy dessert: Macarons.
We saw them on the menu created by Marta Verona. The winner of MasterChef’s last season brought to the final her version of raspberry macarons. This year, trends have made macarons the stars on any vanguard menu. You can find them as dessert but on the menu they can also appear as appetizers combining sweet and salty. In any case, this a product that brings color, grace, and a unique flavor.
Luxurious confectionary, parisian style
Macarons are part of the most sophisticated French confectionery even though they originated in Italy. You think expect that, didn’t you? This pastry was born in Italy on the 8th century, and then it was taken to France on the 17th century by Catherine de Médicis after marrying the Duke of Orleans, future king of France.
Why does people like so much these round, filled cookies? It is because once in your mouth, macarons take you to the country of love, since they are so romantic, classic, stylish, and above all, they are very sweet!
This dessert requires a specific elaboration technique; however, it involves little preparation time and it allows to have many flavors. Macarons are basically filled cookies made with egg whites, sugar and powdered almond.
