Creating vanguard cockatils
Caipirinha. A classic never fails and a tasty caipirinha before a meal is always welcome. Even though is a classic, it doesn’t have to be boring. Some people have dared to reinvented it, and now is one of the trendiest drinks on the market: ¡coconut water! Also, it comes with curry leaves and plantain ketchup, yes, that’s right.
Martini. The king of vermouth has easily become a vanguard cocktail. Javier de las Muelas, a mentor in the cocktail world, has proven this by presenting his Dry Martini with oyster, also with “oyster leaves” that replaces the mythical green olive. Isn’t it quite trendy now?
Vanguard Bloody Mery. The classic among the classics is not everybody’s favorite but, what would happen if we gave it a 360º twist? Some haute-cuisine techniques consider it a dish instead of a drink, it is served in a deep plate with shellfish. Great chefs such as Joan Roca, Ferrán Adriá or Paco Rocenro have been the first ones innovating with solid cocktails, it’s a guaranteed success!
A wedding must always have a non-alcoholic option, the so called mocktails. They are very easy to prepare, you just have to replace the alcohol with an option that gives the same flavor and texture. For example, with bloody mery, ginger can be replaced with rooibos tea. The best bartenders are already working on their creations to offer the best mocktails choices.
